Less than a mile from the Hubble House you can hike, swim, picnic, and rent kayaks at Lake Sylvia State Park. Less than an hour from Hubble House there are many great adventures for a day trip. Head west to Westhaven State Park (now a part of the bigger Westport Light State Park) to watch surfers and walk the the beach, or head north from town up to the Wynoochie Lake day-use area and trails, or head east to enjoy walking in old growth forests on trails along the Lower Fork of the Skokomish River.

Visit The Music Project’s Unplugged Museum in Aberdeen to enjoy a self-guided tour or make a reservation for a guided tour of the museum or Kurt Cobain’s childhood home. Can’t get enough history? Check-out the Polson Museum in Hoqium or drive for a close-up view of the never-finished nuclear power plant structures in Satsop. Complement soaking in history by enjoying local art including a stop by the Aberdeen Art Center.
